ROLE OF AN OVERSIGHT GROUP

An oversight group can act as an informal ethics board throughout the evaluation process.

ROLE OF AN OVERSIGHT GROUP

A University's Formal Ethics Board

If you are connected to a university or working with an affiliated researcher, you can go through a formal ethics review with that institution.

CONSIDER A FORMAL ETHICS REVIEW

In addition to your oversight group, a formal ethics review ensures the evaluation does no harm and maximizes benefits to the community.

Being attuned to ethical issues is particularly important when working with vulnerable populations, which could include people with refugee experience.
